Hazelnut & Vanilla Apple Crisp


Method

  1. Pre heat the oven to 250F
  2. Mix the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar and cinnamon together
  3. Add the softened butter, and incorporate thoroughly
  4. Add half of the mix to a baking dish, or individual baking dishes depending on how you prefer to serve it
  5. Pour the chopped apples on top
  6. In a saucepan combine the sugar, cornstarch, water, vanilla, and Duo Penotti Hazelnut & Vanilla. Bring to boil and cook for 2 minutes stirring constantly until thick.
  7. Pour the Duo Penotti Hazelnut & Vanilla mixture on top of the apples
  8. Sprinkle with the remaining crumb mixture
  9. Take to the oven for 60 minutes, or until the apples are tender
  10. Enjoy warm (vanilla ice cream can be optional)

  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 4 apples (peeled and chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Duo Penotti Hazelnut & Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbs cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
